With a medical degree from the University of Zimbabwe (1989) and post-doctoral training from Michigan State (1994) and George Washington Universities (1995), Dr. Banda's professional medical career spans the practice of internal, emergency and cosmetic laser medicine and surgery. As an early adopter in the emergence of laser medicine and surgery as a specialty, Dr. Banda has received industry-leading cosmetic and anti-aging training, including board certification by the American Board of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine and the Board of Certification in Emergency Medicine.
Since founding MD Laser Medicine & Surgery, he has safely and effectively performed thousands of cosmetic procedures and trained fellow physicians on the Smartlipo technique.
Dr. Banda is a professional member of the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS), American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (AACS), American Association of Physician Specialists (AAPS), American College of Physicians (ACP), American Academy of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine (A4M), Medical Society of Maryland (MedChi) and Society of Aesthetics in Medicine.
