WHAT KIND OF CONSULTATION DO THEY PROVIDE?

All consultations are complimentary. Our strong preference is to meet with you in person in order to perform a thorough consultation and review your medical history, have you tour our facilities and discuss your goals. However, we realize that many of you are so busy that the phone may be the only method your schedule allows, at least initially. To that end, we provide as thorough a consultation as possible – whether in person or by phone – where we assess your situation and goals, answer any of your questions and ensure that you are an appropriate candidate for the treatments.

HOW SOPHISTICATED AND BROAD ARE THEIR TECHNOLOGY OPTIONS?

At Reveal, we recognize that skin types vary and one laser is not right for all skin tones. That is why we offer several different types of lasers for laser hair removal, all FDA-approved for permanent hair reduction. Whatever your skin-tone, we have a laser that is right for you.

For our skin aesthetics clients, we offer state-of-the-art light, laser and radio-frequency based photo rejuvenation - again, all FDA approved to diminish discoloration and gently to promote collagen production.

WHO PERFORMS THE TREATMENTS?

At Reveal, all treatments are performed by highly-trained medical professionals (nurses, nurse practitioners and physicians assistants) who are supervised by our physicians.

All of our providers undergo extensive training and testing, and follow treatment guidelines that have been developed and refined across our vast base of experience.

HOW DO THEY ASSESS YOUR SKIN TYPE?

The lasers used for hair removal target melanin and convey heat to areas of pigmentation. As such, the melanin level in your skin is of utmost importance in determining laser settings that are both safe and effective for targeting your hair, and leaving your skin intact.

At Reveal, we use precise measurement devices that accurately assess the melanin in your skin. This systematic measurement process, combined with the clinical judgment of our highly trained medical professionals allow us to ensure that the laser is precisely set to the needs of your skin. Visual cues of skin tone can be very misleading; we leave nothing to chance when it comes to your safety.

WHAT IS THEIR ADVERSE REACTION RATE?

Side effects such as temporary redness are common, and generally indicative of an effective treatment as opposed to being a cause of concern. However, as with any medical treatment, adverse reactions can sometimes occur. At Reveal, should you find that you experience an adverse reaction, you will be supported by our trained medical staff who will help you to address the situation quickly, and will make themselves available to consult with you over the phone or in-person. In addition, it is of great importance to select a provider focused on safety rates.

Surprisingly, most providers don't track their rate of adverse reactions - which is concerning in and of itself – and further, most providers will not openly discuss their safety record with prospective clients, or share the actual safety rate statistics.

At Reveal, our adverse effect rate is assiduously tracked and analyzed so that we can continue to improve our already exceptional safety record. At the time of this writing, we know of no other provider that can match our safety record – Reveal's rate of adverse reactions consistently falls below 1 %.

HOW WILL YOUR COMFORT BE MANAGED?

Reveal uses two methods of cooling (depending on the laser). The SmartCool system provides a constant stream of cold air (4 degrees Celsius) before, during and after the laser pulse. The Chilltip provides contact cooling through a sapphire tip pressed upon the area being treated. All of our laser treatments include some method of cooling which allows the skin to remain cool, comfortable and most importantly, safe during the lasing. Additionally, we can write a prescription for a topical anesthetic for more sensitive treatment areas or more invasive treatments, such as filler injections.
